General Project Information

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to rehabilitate pavement, replace nonstandard highway facilities, and make other improvements on U.S. Route 395 from post miles 76.00 to 80.60, in the community of Bridgeport in Mono County.

The project has been approved by the California Department of Transportation. A final environmental document has been signed and is uploaded to this website. The final document can also be accessed via the State Clearinghouse here.

A virtual public information meeting was held on Thursday, April 20th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Project Schedule: 

  • Draft Environmental Document circulation - April 3rd, 2023 to May 2nd, 2023

  • Project Approval & Environmental Document – June 1st, 2023

  • Design Complete and Ready To List – October 2025

  • Advertise Project – January 2026

  • Begin Construction - May 2026

  • Complete Construction – October 2026

Project Cost: The estimated project cost is $12,600,000.00​
